Lowell G. Miller holds a BA degree in Philosophy from Sarah Lawrence College, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law. He began his studies of the securities markets while still an undergraduate, and has continuously pursued the notion of disciplined investment strategies for over 35 years. Lowell is the author of three critically acclaimed books on investing, including The Single Best Investment: Creating Wealth with Dividend Growth (Print Project, 2nd Edition, 2006). He has also written on financial subjects for The New York Times Magazine, was a featured guest on Louis Rukeyser's Wall $treet Week and Bloomberg TV, and is often quoted in such financial media as The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, Bloomberg, Fortune, and Barron's. Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst

John E. Leslie III, CFA grew up in Boston and earned his BS degree in Finance from Suffolk University and his MBA from Babson College. He began his career in investments over 30 years ago and has managed money since 1987. Previously, Jack was a portfolio manager at Value Line Asset Management, M&T Capital Advisors Group (Division of M&T Bank), and Dewey Square Investors (Division of UAM). At Miller/Howard, he brings a high level of expertise in both fundamental and quantitative research skills, as well as experience managing large pools of institutional assets. In addition to his in-depth analytic skills, Jack has extensive experience in quantitative modeling and screening in the equity markets. Portfolio Manager

Bryan J. Spratt, CFA graduated summa cum laude from Spring Arbor College with a BA degree in Economics/Computer Science. He previously worked as an analyst and portfolio manager in various investment subsidiaries at Comerica Bank, from 1990 to 2001, including Munder Capital, from 1994 to 2001. At Munder he was a member of the Energy and Power Team that developed and managed the Munder Power Plus Fund, among other portfolio management responsibilities. From 2001 through 2004, Bryan was responsible for the utilities and telecom sectors for the Value Team at Banc One Investment Advisors and the One Group Funds, which ranked among the largest asset managers in the US prior to its acquisition by JP Morgan Chase. Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst

John R. Cusick, CFA earned his BA in Finance and Marketing from Temple University, and his MBA in Finance from Fordham University School of Business in New York City. Cusick spent more than a decade at Oppenheimer & Co. in New York, where he started his career as a junior analyst working on the energy team, and then as a senior research analyst specializing in the midstream sector. Prior to joining Miller/Howard, he served as senior vice president and research analyst at Wunderlich Securities Inc. in New York, covering energy in North America including partnerships focused on natural gas, liquids, and exploration & production. Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst

Michael Roomberg, CFA earned his BA in International Relations, Economics, and Finance from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his MBA from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, with Honors. Michael began his career as a research associate in 2008, at Boenning & Scattergood, a financial services firm in greater Philadelphia. There he specialized in Energy Exploration & Production (E&P) and Water Utilities & Industrials. He later joined Jefferies' Industrials equity research team, and prior to Miller/Howard, served as Head of Water/Infrastructure Equity Research at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. in New York City. Gregory L. Powell, PhD
Gregory L. Powell, PhD
Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst

Gregory L. Powell, PhD, joined Miller/Howard’s portfolio team in 2017, and focuses on the firm’s Income-Equity portfolios. Greg comes to Miller/Howard with a distinguished 19-year career as a senior portfolio manager and director of research at AllianceBernstein. At AB he managed a team of 12 analysts and a suite of products with $11 billion in AUM, including equity income, long-only value, diversified value, and long/short hedge funds. He also served as head of fundamental value research there, redesigning the analyst role with an emphasis on investment success and training analysts in all aspects of the position. Prior to AB, Greg worked for 12 years at General Motors in Detroit and São Paulo, Brazil. He began his career as a senior economist and became general director of market research and forecasting. Chief Operating Officer

Luan Jenifer, Chief Operating Officer, joined Miller/Howard Investments in 2002. Ms. Jenifer oversees the firm's operations, trading, technology, and performance analytics departments. She manages our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities including screening and research, company engagements, shareholder advocacy, and proxy voting. Ms. Jenifer served for many years as Director of Operations and Shareholder Advocacy, responsible for operations, trading, and ESG activities. She continues to work closely with investors, companies, and colleagues through Miller/Howard's shareholder advocacy program. Ms. Jenifer is involved in volunteer work for several community organizations in the Woodstock area. She holds a BS in Organizational Leadership from Marist College.

Senior Research Analyst

Deepak Ahuja, CFA, Senior Research Analyst, joined the firm in 2015. Mr. Ahuja brings 10 years' experience in the financial services and investment industry. Before moving to Miller/Howard, he was a securities analyst at SKBA Capital Management in San Francisco, covering consumer, banks, technology, industrials, REITS, healthcare, and asset management companies, among others. Prior to that he worked at Brookfield Asset Management, FTI Consulting, Sprint, and PwC. Mr. Ahuja completed his BA in Finance and Economics and Honors Business Administration at the University of Western Ontario, and later earned his MBA also at UWO. Adam Fackler, CFA, Senior Research Analyst, joined the investment team in 2016. His primary coverage areas are MLPs and E&P. Fackler brings with him more than 10 years of equity research experience. Prior to joining Miller/Howard, he worked out of Houston at several institutions, covering E&P at Rodman & Renshaw, KLR Group, and, most recently, both E&P and MLPs at MLV & Co. Owen D. Harvey, Research Analyst, received a BA from Bennington College and an MFA from SUNY New Paltz. Research Associate

Mark Phillips, CFA, Research Associate, joined the firm in 2015. As part of the investment team, he is responsible for fundamental stock research and reports, idea generation, backtesting programs, and other portfolio management support. He also liaises closely with advisors on strategies and portfolio holdings. Mr. Phillips started in the financial services industry in 2012 as an investment analyst at Janney Montgomery Scott's wealth management division in Philadelphia. Prior to that he was a staff accountant at Danaher (Motion Division) in Radford, Va. Mr. Phillips earned a BS in Finance and a BA in Economics from Grove City College, Grove City, Penn. Cody Milosek, Research Associate, joined the firm in 2015. Mr. Milosek works closely with the team, providing research and portfolio management support, generating reports and workbooks on portfolios and holdings, and coordinating with graphics and marketing, as well as the operations and trading departments. He trained as a senior analyst at Ithaca College Investment Club, and worked on ESG research and related projects at Miller/Howard as a student intern. Dana Troxell, President, holds a BA in history from the University of Virginia, with concentrations in economics and international relations as well as an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. Dana joined Miller/Howard as President in 2014. He oversees all activities of the firm and works closely with the management team to chart the firm's future growth. He served as Managing Director of alternative investment firm Angelo, Gordon & Co. and as President and CEO of AG Asset Management, the group's institutional equity investment business. Prior to that, Dana was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s Investment Banking Division, focusing exclusively on the investment management industry. Chief Financial Officer

Paul Brook was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Miller/Howard Investments in 2015. Mr. Brook had previously served as Chief Compliance Officer since 2012. He has been in the financial services industry for more than three decades. At Ernst & Young LLP Mr. Brook was an audit partner in the Investment Management Group. He provided audit and consulting services to mutual funds, hedge funds, and investment advisers for most of his 20 years at E&Y. He later served as controller for 65 mutual funds at Smith Barney, managing the mutual fund accounting department that oversaw the NAV calculations, securities pricing, and financial reporting for various fund structures. Mr. Brook has also worked as a Certified Financial Planner and business consultant during his career. Gerald Wheeler, a lawyer and 25-year veteran in the asset management industry, was named General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Miller/Howard Investments in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wheeler served as: general counsel at Ivory Investment Management LP, a Los Angeles hedge fund; and as general counsel and CCO at NWQ Investment Management Co. LLC (a Nuveen Investments affiliate), as well as at Brandes Investment Partners LLC. In 2010 he cofounded del Rey Global Investors, an investment management firm focused on international strategies for institutional and retail investors. Earlier, Mr. Wheeler was an attorney at Morgan Stanley Asset Management Inc. and before that at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, New York. Mr. Wheeler served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Daniel A. Manion, US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago. He is a frequent industry speaker on legal and compliance matters. He was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to serve on both the US Export Council and the Industry Sector Advisory Committee (ISAC) for the GATT negotiations (Tokyo round). He is a graduate of the University of Denver and The Wharton/INSEAD School for International Financial Management. Prior to Miller/Howard, she held positions in office management, accounts receivable, and customer service. Ms. Valk graduated cum laude from SUNY Oneonta with a BS in Elementary Education. Bruce had been a longtime financial consultant In New York, providing financial planning as well as risk and asset management services to groups and individuals. He founded the Stoops Solutions to serve the client needs of Stoops & Co., a New York-based accounting firm, under the auspices of AXA Financial Services. Prior to that he was a Vice President, responsible for loans, at Chuo Trust & Banking Co. Bruce completed his BA in East Asian History at Ohio State University. Luan Jenifer, Chief Operating Officer, joined Miller/Howard Investments in 2002. Ms. Jenifer oversees the firm's operations, trading, technology, and performance analytics departments. She manages our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities including screening and research, company engagements, shareholder advocacy, and proxy voting. Ms. Jenifer served for many years as Director of Operations and Shareholder Advocacy, responsible for operations, trading, and ESG activities. She continues to work closely with investors, companies, and colleagues through Miller/Howard's shareholder advocacy program. Ms. Jenifer is involved in volunteer work for several community organizations in the Woodstock area. She holds a BS in Organizational Leadership from Marist College.

Eva Horowitz, Director of Trading, joined the Miller/Howard Investments Operations Team in 2004. She grew up in Massachusetts and received an Associate Accounting degree from Ulster Community College in 1987. Eva earned her Series 7 license in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for an accounting firm from 1989–1999 and later as a financial advisor for Raymond James Financial Services from 1999-2002 and for Lloyd Scott & Valenti from 2002–2003. Ed Adrion, Associate Director of Trading, came to the firm in 2015 to support the trading team. Mr. Adrion has more than two decades of equity trading experience with financial institutions in New York City. He served as trading manager at Charles Schwab & Co., before joining Fiduciary Trust Co. International as equity trader. Later he moved to Reich & Tang Capital Management (now Tocqueville Asset Management LP), where he worked as head equity trader for three years, then senior trader for a decade. Most recently, at W.P. Stewart & Co., he was head equity trader, operations manager, and portfolio administrator. Mr. Adrion received his BBA in Finance from Pace University, New York. Olga Diatchkovski, Senior Trader/Institutional, joined Miller/Howard's trading team in 2001. She worked in the operations/account management department for several years with senior trading responsibilities and assumed her current position in May 2015. Her responsibilities include trading, oversight of all cash flows, and monitoring. Ms. Diatchkovski grew up in Russia. Prior to coming to the US, she worked as an accountant at the Moscow Economic Statistical Institute, a political economy teacher at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, and an economist in a Moscow-based production company. Alicia Carbone, Senior Operations Administrator/Reconciliation Manager, joined the firm in 2007. During her tenure, Alicia worked in marketing and operations and was promoted to her current position in 2012. Alysia Silipo, Operations Associate, joined Miller/Howard in 2013. Alysia handles new accounts, back office processing, cash flow, and settlement reconciliation. Alysia worked for eight years at Liz Claiborne, initially as senior merchandiser, later as director of licensing, responsible for strategic planning, due diligence, as well as negotiations and contracts. Before coming to Miller/Howard, she served as vice president at an electronic company, managing and streamlining daily operations, including development of new business in overseas markets. Nicole Lee, Lead ESG Analyst, joined Miller/Howard in 2014. Ms. Lee provides ESG research and support to the investment team and operational leadership within the ESG team. She also authors the firm's biannual Shareholder Advocacy newsletter. Ms. Lee worked for several years as a clinic coordinator and educator for a non-profit health organization, during which time she also developed and conducted training programs at two local universities. Charles Atkins, CIPM, Director of Performance and Data Analytics, joined Miller/Howard in 2012. He is responsible for the accountability and accuracy of all Miller/Howard performance and data, as well as GIPS reporting and audits. Mr. Atkins worked at Prime Capital Services Inc., a FINRA registered broker/dealer, for 10 years. At Prime Capital his chief responsibilities as compliance officer/branch examiner involved oversight of compliance programs across 95 branches nationwide, compliance training for registered representatives, annual anti-money laundering audits, and support for multiple FINRA and SEC examinations. After joining Miller/Howard he has worked for one year as a Compliance Associate and for two years as an Equity Trader. General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Gerald Wheeler, a lawyer and 25-year veteran in the asset management industry, was named General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Miller/Howard Investments in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wheeler served as: general counsel at Ivory Investment Management LP, a Los Angeles hedge fund; and as general counsel and CCO at NWQ Investment Management Co. LLC (a Nuveen Investments affiliate), as well as at Brandes Investment Partners LLC. In 2010 he cofounded del Rey Global Investors, an investment management firm focused on international strategies for institutional and retail investors. Earlier, Mr. Wheeler was an attorney at Morgan Stanley Asset Management Inc. and before that at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, New York. Mr. Wheeler served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Daniel A. Manion, US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago. He is a frequent industry speaker on legal and compliance matters. Holly Dales Raal, Compliance Review Specialist/Graphics Project Manager, joined Miller/Howard in 2005. She is the lead project manager for most of the firms marketing materials. Holly's responsibilities also include the previewing of SMA and fund marketing materials for compliance. She has more than 8 years overseeing the submission of marketing materials to wirehouses, and more recently, to distribution and compliance services. Holly has more than 25 years' experience working in fine art, graphic design, and marketing. She holds a BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Certificat d'Etudes en Langue Française from Le Collège International de Cannes in France.

Paul Brook was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Miller/Howard Investments in 2015. Mr. Brook had previously served as Chief Compliance Officer since 2012. He has been in the financial services industry for more than three decades. At Ernst & Young LLP Mr. Brook was an audit partner in the Investment Management Group. He provided audit and consulting services to mutual funds, hedge funds, and investment advisers for most of his 20 years at E&Y. He later served as controller for 65 mutual funds at Smith Barney, managing the mutual fund accounting department that oversaw the NAV calculations, securities pricing, and financial reporting for various fund structures. Mr. Brook has also worked as a Certified Financial Planner and business consultant during his career.
